Been waiting for a decision for my Mother's Visit Visa for nearly 3 months now.. the expected processing time on the website seems to be increasing by each week..I wonder how accurate it is.

No I came here to get police certificate then I submitted the application note that I’ve been approved for permanent resident

Did you include a way back package in your post ?

Plus I thought you had to submit throw visa office

No it is now not at the office due to covid

You should be fine then as long as paid for both ways it takes 3 to 5 business days till your passport come back

I would say two options to who applied before September 2021: reapply using the new IRCC portal.
