Applied on 30th September, got PPR today. Eligibility review was done sometime between Oct 5-Oct 8. It was my first application

I am not a PR applicant, maybe that made the process faster? Don't know for sure.

For me even eligibility review hasn't started, I applied on Aug 23

I have applied TRV on May 5th still no update from CIC, review has not yet started. When I am trying to reapply for TRV application I can see Proof of medical is required document now. I do not have upfront medicals and this was not asked previously as well.

Please let me know what should I do? Should I wait for my previous application to process or get my medicals and apply fresh application?

My PR application is also under process and I have not received update on it as well.!

Since i was on a Study Permit (Extension), i was asked to submit my proof of finance, enrolment letter, transcript from the educational institute, etc. I had also completed the optional form which was given in the application process.

Oh that makes sense. Ircc is issuing student visas and extensions very quickly. Now your return speed makes sense

someone mentioned to her that an immigration expert mentioned that people who applied much earlier should re-apply as immigration officers would take a lot of time before getting to the backlog of applications
