they suggested me to reapply as well but i think its only for people whose situation has changed so i didnt reapply
Seems like different agents are giving different responses. The agent with whom I spoke suggested that the new visitor visa guidelines are only for those applicants outside Canada. She said that inland TRV applicants need not re-apply.
So now, nobody knows the right thing to do…
I thought that what the agent explained made sense since the visitor visa guidelines focus on visiting/reuniting with Canadian residents.

No, being an inland applicant I am exempt from biometrics.
I applied on September 5th and my eligibility review started like a week or week and half ago, fingers crossed that is a good sign and i soon get my ppr then
