No. But people think applications will be expedited because they are studying or working in Canada, and they are not. Their file is in the queue like everyone else. Each step takes time. Background check involves looking at immigration/security checks for the countries you have lived in/visited and verifying documentation.

Yea that’s why I thought so because I never left Canada. And just worked and studied there and put all the information through my lawyer. So I applied on 21 Nov and im still waiting so its within the processing time you say?

You can check processing times online. It changes week to week. Probably around 30-35 days but the caveat is for most applications. IRCC does say it is a guideline. You can raise a webform but don’t expect a response immediately.

Hey I do have another question, when it says updated date on the application on tracker does it really mean someone worked on your profile or is it just a system update?

Eligibility: 19th pass.

ADR on 18th asking for RPRF FEE payment, paid the same day , 19th I see the eligibility pass
CALL WITH IRCC: CRIMINALITY PASS, SECURITY ON GOING : What does this meaning ??

I just want to understand, what does COMPLETE meaning here, is this pass by final officer or by a case analyst

Hi everyone.

Here is my timeline for TRV from outside Canada:
Case submitted: Oct. 30, 2023
Biometric: Nov 22, 2023
BVL: 10 Jan, 2024
Eligibility: Completed
Background check: In process
Last update in tracker: 11 Jan, 2024

After receiving BVL, I got no more updates, and I have not get my final decision.
Also, I don't see visa number in my tracker.
Does this mean that my application has been refused?
