In June 2020, I applied for a TRV online (from India) to visit my spouse in Canada who is a Citizen there. I have not received any updates since my application other than a request for biometrics which was asked for in June 2020 and given in November 2020. I would have thought based on the timelines for processing, there would have been either an approval or rejection by this period. Anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks.

Yes, a lot of people are waiting with absolutely no response. Even when you send repeated emails to
IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca to inform them you are an immediate family member there is no reply. Even if you previously had a visitor visa, its the same visa issue. I called up IRCC, and they said the processing is under the discretion of the VO (mine in New Delhi), and there is nothing we can do. I also sent a web form to the New Delhi VO.
But, somehow some people got the Visitor visa for their spouse in a few weeks.
