Its longer wait for applications . I applied for my parents in 2015 for Canada , It took 5 days for visa approval and my sister and her family applied in May 2017, It took 2 and half weeks, All applications were paper based. They are giving an early priority to Online applications.
 
Visitors visa applied through an agent for my mom from chennai on August 3rd.
Visa still under process in Bangalore visa office as per the tracking number . It's been more than 32 calendar days . No update yet !
 
I ve applied Visitors Visa for my Parents online from India.
Thought of sharing my timeline as it might help others

I ve applied paper based Visitors Visa for my mother from India(Delhi).
