I applied for the work permit for myself and temp resident visa for my 9 years old daughter. My application is still being processed, however application for my daughter's TRV was refused because "her primary purpose for entering Canada will be to study as she is now of school age. She must submit an application for study permit to accompany you to Canada and not a visitor visa application." Has anyone had similar case? Do I really need a new application? Or I can request reprocessing the application as it was for study permit? There is nothing really new in terms of documents that is needed, just a new payment for the study permit. Thanks

You have to put the letter of acceptance from the school along with the other required documents. Study visa application is different from Visitor visa. The documents and the visa form are entirely different. It is not just the visa fee.
Thanks for your reply. This is from CIC website: "There is one exception to this requirement: Minor children who are accompanying a family member who has applied and been approved for a work or study permit before entering Canada do not need to provide a letter of acceptance from an educational institution.
