I submitted a TRV application by mail from within Canada (based on an agent telling me that I can't do it online...still not sure why) and it was delivered to them on the Nov. 25th 2016. Has anyone else submitted it around that time and seen any update? I can't even find my application to link it to my account...

TRV application from within Canada can be submitted electronically. I myself submitted an online TRV from within Canada on Nov 24, 2106 and my application is still under process

Passport Request : Dec 8, 2016
Passport Sent to CIC : Dec 8,2016
Passport received by CIC : Dec 9,2016
Return Tracker Activated : Dec 13, 2016
Passport received back : Dec 15, 2106
update: got my passport back! here's the timeline --->
application sent (mail): November 24th, 2016
package received in ottawa: November 25th, 2016
passport returned with visa: December 15th, 2016
the strange thing is at no point was my application showing up on the site. not only could i not check the status of it, i couldn't even find it on their system...so if anyone is experiencing similar issues, hang in there.
