Traveling with a PR card

Hey everyone,

I have a quick question about PR cards. If you are not yet a Canadian citizen, but have already received your PR card, is it possible to use the PR card as a travel document to travel to other countries as a tourist?

If not, is there some temporary document or travel passport that the Canadian government can issue?

You can use your original passport for the travel. You can also use your Canadian PR to travel from Canada to certain Caribbean countries. As far as I know, Canada will issue temporary travel documents to non-citizens only in some extreme cases...
