Yesterday we have got our VISA and CoPR. In our application, my wife is a primary applicant. Due to her job and ongoing MBA degree in our home country, she needs to be back after 20 days after first entry. But as a spouse I will be staying in Canada after landing. She will join me after 1.2 years, after completion her MBA. Now the question is, she will not get her PR Card withing 20 days, I will be there and on her behalf I will receive the card. But, is there any rules and regulation for staying outside Canada after landing? As far I know you one need to stay 735 days in 5 years. If she (primary applicant) not present in Canada after PR like 1.2 yrs will this effect our application?
If anyone can help on this, we will be very grateful.
Once you land and get confirmed as PRs, there's no more delineation between primary applicants and dependents. You're all PRs, period, so residency obligations will be independent. Whatever she does won't affect your PR status and vice versa.

It's perfectly fine. She can technically stay outside Canada up to 3 years less a day, and still be in compliance with the REsidency Obligation. So 1.2 years will be no problem.
When you receive her PR card in Canada, you can courier it to her in her home country. If there is some problem with her PR card and it can't be issued, then she will need to apply for a PR Travel Document to return to Canada.
