Hey all,

My wife has family in NY that is getting married in 2 weeks and I’ve been waiting for my physical PR card for ages now.

I’m a Dutch citizen with a valid Dutch passport, a valid all though redundant work permit and I did get approved as PR + am able to download my Ecopr. I also have 2 kids with a Canadian passport and a Canadian wife.

My question is, assuming I dont get the PR card. Could I travel to the US based on the information above? We intend to drive and cross at the Niagara Falls border.

it’s ofc possible I get my PR card in 2 weeks but also I’ve been waiting for 4 months now so who knows.

thanks for the replies.

Yes, no issues driving. You're good to go without a PR card.

1. As long as return to Canada by driving in a private vehicle you will be fine.
