I applied to renew my permanent resident card in August 2015. I have a trip scheduled in a week but the on-line status is still showing as "in process".
I applied for urgent processing last February when my trip came up.
I called CIC today as my trip is approaching and the agent said that urgent processing was not granted because my card is apparently "under review". The agent suggested I request a Travel document at my destination.
Should I postpone the trip or go ahead with it and apply for a travel document abroad?
I do not want to risk being stranded abroad.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
