I am planning on doing my landing formalities this week at Rainbow bridge. However, I am travelling to India at the end of Jan so will not receive my PR card by then. I know that I have to apply Travel Document from India to return to Canada.
My question is that my Passport is expiring in June hence wondering if I will still be eligible to apply for a Travel Document. (VFS Site checklist says Passport should have validity of more than 6 months and CIC website checklist does not mention anything about Passport validity, hence confused).
If someone also applied for a Landing document from India, it would be nice to know what is the approx processing time for the same.

If you are going to finish your landing formalities this week you she get your PR card within 2 months and If you are going to stay more than a month than you will get it by the time on your Canadian address. Once you get it here u can have your PR card mailed to you from Canada.
Considering your passport expiry and all I think this is the easiest way....
Yes, I am going to stay there for a month. So it will be approx 2 months from now. However, there would be some uncertainty in terms of when I can travel back.
If I can get a Travel document, I can plan my travel accordingly.

Or apply for a new passport here. Takes about 15 days minimum if applying in Toronto. You can apply for a new passport if it is about to expire in next one year.
