Travel Document Application Processing times for India

My wife became a permanent resident on Nov 15, 2014. This year she had to travel to India in August 2015. However, before she left Canada, he PR card was destroyed due to an accident. We sent an application to replace the destroyed card before she left the country. But according to processing times, its going to take 6 month or more for PR card to get issued and even then I cannot collect it. So I have to apply for a travel document for her to come back. Does anyone know how long is the processing time for Travel Document application from India?

1. Your wife has to apply for a travel document. You do not apply for her.

2. Processing times, gathered from other threads here can be a few days to a few months.

3. Given that she already has a PR card replacement application in process, & has only been out of Canada for ~2 months, it shouldn't take too long.
