Hello,
I am moving to Canada for my studies. I am an Indian passport holder and have a flight from India to Toronto, with a stopover at London Heathrow airport. I would like to know if I need a transit visa at London?
it says that
Exemptions
You don’t need a visa if you have one of the following:
- a visa for Canada, New Zealand, Australia or the USA (this can be used for travel to any country)
Does this apply for a study visa too ?

Yes.
There is technically no Study Visa, you get a TRV (temporary residence
visa) which is the sticker in your passport AND a study permit which is a piece of paper you get at immigration. Best of luck.
