Hi Everyone,

I just got notified that my transit visa was denied for a most peculiar reason.

This is what they wrote:Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: Undeclared visa refusal(s)

I've never applied for a Canadian Visa in my life before. This is the first time. I have also never been refused a visa anywhere before in my life.

I am an Iraqi National, but I live in Germany. I wanted to take a Caribbean Trip with my girlfriend. There aren't many places I can go without a visa, so we choose Haiti. Most flights connect through Canada, or the United States (Which is a more complicated process).

Can someone explain my refusal? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. The answer is no. My father died before I was born, and my mother has not either.

IRCC believes that you have been refused a visa someowhere before. Request your GCMS notes to see more details.

I just realized this. I applied for a Fiance visa to the US, but I was put in administrative processing (which is a temporary refusal)for over a year, so my girlfriend, and I (I'm still with her) decided to withdraw it because we were so emotionally drained. I really didn't think that counted as a refusal and totally forgot about it. So now I'm going to reapply and explain my error. Thanks for your reply.
