Please help. I applied for Transit visa on 05 May and still haven't received my passport back. Does it take more than 2 weeks for transit visa to process? The average they say for visitor visa to process is 42 days but for transit I was told maximum of 10 days. Also, I asked them if I could withdraw and they told me that withdraw process will take a week as well. My flight is next week on May 28th and I cannot travel without passport and too late to withdraw it as well. Is there anything I can do to get this expedited? I have emailed them several times with my tickets and the urgent need to travel via canada. Only response I got was they have my documents and nothing else. I applied at the NY Canada embassy. Has any one experienced the same and is something they can help me with ?
