Are you originally from a country that does not require visa for entry into Canada? That's probably why you were asked to submitted only copies of your passport. I'm from a country that requires visa from entry to Canada so I will have to submitted my passport... if I ever get the PPR
Glad to know you got your passport papers back, but wow, it took Seattle five months to send you a PPR quest. Your file was transferred to Seattle in October 2011 and only in March 2012 did you receive the PPR. Now I am very nervous that the rest of us are also going to be like this.
OK try not to worry too much. Let's put it in perspective. Vman was waiting a very long time to get his ppr and I hope the text of bus don't get it that bad. He was waiting 17 months altogether but he was part of the unfortunate Oct - dec 2010 lunch whose applications weren't entrered into the system until early 2011 because of technical difficulties. Taking that and the fact that his application was transferred, his application probably actuaply took 15 months in the end.
Its not ideal obviously but its not as bad as we first think right?
If like me your file got transferred to Seattle, plz lets connect.
I received an email from Buffalo stating my file is transferred to Seattle. That was on Aug 3, and today my address disapeered on eCAS and it now says: "We started processing your application on February 25, 2011. We transferred your application to the Seattle office on August 3, 2011. The Seattle office may contact you."
Cheers and all the best to all Seattle applicants.
Hey sorry it took so long to reply. No not yet, but my Passport reached Seattle on April 30th. So on the e-mail from Seattle, it says that it takes about four weeks to return my passport, so I will probably get it back by first week of June.
