I got request on Jan 03, delivered on Jan 09... checking this page everyday for the update. Really want to leave Canada for a trip but can't....

Congrats! Your timeline is like mine, but my status stays Submitted for the past almost four months. Hope there will be some move till the end of the week or I will send an inquiry next week.

I sent my photos I guess on Nov 30 and got status updated 4 days back saying it is approved. Click on the status update and see what do you see inside, as per timelines looks like they would be mailing your PR Card soon if photos are approved.

Just checked and mine with my wife and younger kid PR card is approved but the elder kid is still in progress, so this trauma of waiting goes on.. i am not sure what is the reason though, can anyone help?

I need to leave Canada and I do not have a permanent resident card. Can I later return to Canada without a PR card?

Only if you have valid US Visa, you can then cross the border but through prived vehicle only, no commercial options like train bus or aeroplane.
