Reading through this thread, it is utter BS that CIC requests for photos. Clearly seems like a procedural problem on their end. They should ask for retakes before sending COPR.
As Baji mentioned, most of people who are being asked for retakes sent photos for COPR as per specifications (50x70mm etc). I have a feeling with this being a small physical item, some get lost as our files move from office to office, which is so lame to hear from a big organization like this.
Yeah, the weird thing is they would never ask for a photo retake for a second time.
All replacement photos seem to be perfect.
Wondering if they would know if you send the same photo. Lol
No no, I am from India - I know what you're saying. I just had such hassle free experiences otherwise so far with other government offices here in Toronto, hard to think of anyone making such amateurish mistakes but here we are *shrug*
I landed on March 8th and still haven't received my card. When I called they said they are processing applications on Feb 20th. Now that I read this thread, people who have landed after me have received their PR cards. Any idea what might be the problem?
Same with me. Anxiously awaiting PR card by 16th May. I leave for US on 17th and then plan to return by road and cross border at enroute from Seattle to Vancouver. The entire process of PR card is just frustrating! Please let me know when you receive yours.
Is there any way to check online if its under process or if they have mailed?
