If and when anyone who landed on 7th April gets any update, please update here. I landed in toronto on the 7th, still no photo request email or application status update on cic.
Need a little help. I got my CPR and I am planning to travel to US in August. Post US I am planning to do the landing. I am going to provide one of my friends address to IRCC for them to mail the PR card.
There are few queries I have, would be great if someone can help resolving those:
1. In my CPR the arrival city is mentioned as Toronto, do i specifically need to land at Toronto?
2. I am planning to stay in Canada for a week, and planning to travel to Vancouver and other cities..Can i travel to other cities within Canada post landing? and Is there any specific duration for which I need to stay in Canada post Landing?
1. No, you can land anywhere in Canada if you want.
2. Once you land and processed by immigration officer, you are officially a permanent resident. You can travel anywhere in Canada. Ideally, specific duration to stay post landing is the time required to get the PR card. If that is not possible, you can still leave the country but will have to apply for PRTD to re-enter before your PR card is approved.
We landed on Feb 23

I am planning to leave canada without PR card. I am going to spend a 9 months in india after arrival. When I can apply PRTD and it is easy to get. Very confused.
thanks, yes sounds like they are processing April 11.
and I did send two sets of photo's (one from Walmart another from shopper drug mart) that save me for the photo to be rejected again.
The agent told me, photos that I took from Walmart were not good again but photos from shopper drug mart were good.
