Resubmitted photos. (delivered on 24 June). Waiting for PR card. The waiting game with CIC is endless, since the AOR.

Landed April 30. Recieved PR card July 26. My case is not typical because CIC did not have my address in Canada although i provided it at the airport, which i think caused around two to three weeks delay. Good luck to all those who are waiting.

my parents landed on May 31, 2017 still waiting for their Initial PR card. My application is already linked with my CIC account. I was going through thread some users said they have linked their PR card application. How do I link my PR card application. Isn't the same as my application or its different from the application

I would really appreciate if somebody can shed light on this. Also, was wandering when can I expect their PR cards since they landed in May 31, 2017.

I see that date, do you think it when it was made? or when it just was approved and sent to production?

I think it's when the card was made, hence the expiry date.

Spoke to CIC today. Even though my linked app doesn't show document ID, they said my card was mailed out today. So it might not be as accurate as we think.

The current processing time is 61 days, if I am not wrong (from IRCC website).

To link your application to your account, there is an option in your main page, in the "What would you like to do today?" session:


"Link an existing application to this account

You can link an application to your account if you:

• lost your GCKey or Securekey and created a new account,
• have submitted an application on paper, and want to check the application status and receive messages about your application through this account,
• need to upload a document to support an application for an eTA."

My brother landed on June 9 and is waiting for the update, though he linked the PR application for him, his wife and his children to his MYCIC account, status on MYCIC is: In Progress.

Status on MYCIC is accurate or we need to ask the agents on phone for the exact status?

Anyone, please throw some light on the above queries.
