Try to avoid staying at hotels. Stay with ur friends or relatives (pay proportionately to them). For food also, apply same idea.
Ur money will be spent fast if u don't plan urself for accomodation and food.
For driving license, u need to spent nearly 700$.
Travelling also will cost u even though its public transportation.

As suggest by Coolguy, better option is always to stay with friends or relatives... however, if you do not have any other option, then you can check hotels like Motel6, Studio6, SafeHomeStay, Best Western Hotel etc (as advised by Qorax)...

If you want to stay downtown then you're probably looking at around $300-$500 for a single room where you are sharing the bathroom and kitchen with others. You can see some example here:

No idea, but it should work. Pls chk with guys who had indian driving license. In my case I had dubai driving license.
