Bajaj Allianz confirmed on e-mail that they can provide the travel insurance for 90 days for immigrants. This can not be done online but needs their DM approval. They can send the reson to take care of formalities. I have asked this guy to come over tomorrow.
So all of you who were having issues getting the travel insurance on immigrant visa can contact bajaj Allianz
Also some of the helpful links are

@ Ankit : thanks for all information about scotia bank & other start up links...
Hey I have heard that you can take the temp helth insurance from India only if you have return tickets. The sales person might sometimes agree to do it without the return ticket because they want to sell but the issues might arise at the time of claim. For all those people who don't have the return ticket need to take their health insurance from insurance providers in Canada.
Not true regarding insurance. You are right that sales may tell anything and sell and then claim may be hassle. Therefore I was struggling with all different providers and their versions as no body was giving it in writing
Finally Baja Allianz gave it inwriting. They said maximum 90 days on immigrant visa one way ticket. This will be mentioned in Proposal form
I had also visited scotiabank at CP and given request to open an account. It will take 21 days to open the account. But I read on the terms and condition if 1 person is travelling then 13000 CAD is the limit. But as the POF is to be shown by the PA then even if he is travelling alone he has to show the POF of all family members.
Also can anyone help on how to take the letter from RTO office.
I too visited scotia bank ,Connaught place Branch last Tuesday and today I received account opening letter from Scotia Bank,Mississauga,Canada .It was quite fast in seven days Scotia Bank Open my account.
If anybody want to open account promptly just tell them that you are landing soon surely Scotia Bank will prioritise case otherwise it will take 3 weeks to open Account.

dear ankit, thanks for ur valuable inputs.yesterday i visited icici bank and found that they have branches in canada,so we can open our accounts and pof money through them easily.Manager of branch also told me that they also offer travel insurance for 90 days.Another point we should keep in mind is exchange rates banks offer for transferring our pof money in rupees.
Hi Ankit
First of all kudos for starting the thread, well I, too,am planning to fly on 21apr. (we are 2)
Will be staying for couple of months and come back...then probably complete all the formalities here which would take some 5-6months and then will come to Canada for good.
Now my query is: What have you guys done for stay/accomodation?
How to carry the PoF, can we take along the Bank statements, some amount in TCs and some in Cash?
Guys any info on this one.
And btw lets surely plan to meet up once we land in Canada
Cheers
