getting a PPR after pre-arrival is not always the case.

Unfortunately for us..they have asked for more info...

Someone else also mentioned they were asked for more info after pre-arrival.

Everyone's case is different so you don't know what might after after receiving the letter.

All it means is that eligibility has passed, but when background starts, they can ask for additional layers of information.

We got medical request on May 14th but no PCC like others, ecas shows in process for PR but my sponsorship says application received. Confused as they asked for option C print outs for last 4 years last month and i already sent them those. So now should i worry about sponsorship or no as we got medical request?

So we got a 2nd medical request, but before we were even able to do the medical exam (got earliest appointment possible, it's tomorrow), we already got DECISION MADE on the application in eCAS. What does it mean?

My mother got a medical request and her address in the IRCC is of Canada as she was here with us. But currently she is India. Is she can get her medical done in India?

Thank you for your detail posting.My timeline is similar to you.My elder daughter sponsered me.Due to recent changes my younger daughter became eligible for addition to our file.My elder daughter through consultant applied for addition of my younger daughter.They allowed us by their letter dt.March07,2018 alongwith PCc and Medical.My daughter completed this both and the consultant submitted all the documents to CPC,Missisauga on March26,2018.They approved sponsorship of my daughter and included her into our file on April18,2018.Since then waiting for that golden day of Passport Request.GOD bless us all.

Thank you. My mother is with me here in Toronto on Supervisa. So we are able to get medical scheduled next week. Hope the next step will not take much time as I do see good progress from May 1s week for several others here. Good luck to all.

I don't see any progress, my BC still in progress from July 2017

Medicals changed to "Passed" on myCIC this morning.

Didn't notice when it changed but the background check column says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

NO PCC yet though.

I did additional tests for my dad as well, now we have different due date for parents medical

Friends,
My application for sponsoring my parents was accepted in Jan 2016. I received the sponsorship acceptance letter in Feb 2017. today, I received a notice to complete and submit medicals and other documents. One of the documents is the birth certificate for my parents. However, as my parents got married in 1970s, they don't have a formal marriage certificate. I read some posts that refer to 'Marriage Affidavit" instead of the certificate. If you have been in the similar situation, could you please share how you addressed this and if there is a template that I could use? Btw, My parents still live in India.
