Hey everybody. So me (Canadian Citizen for the last 4 months and my wife, born Citizen) are sponsoring my mom since 5. January 2016. Her ppwk forwarded to Warsaw PL on 27. January 2017. Additional documents (medical, police cert., RPRF Fee, photos, workbook legal-trans-apostille and Schedule A) requested on August 8. 2017. All in by August 29. 2017. No news since then, 27 + months now.
She is also here on SuperVisa and has met a guy (born Canadian) with whom he has mingled for the last 1.5 years. They recently decided to get married. Thus my question, is it going to be a problem in IRCC eyes. They plan the marriage on May 5 this year. Now after that I would let Warsaw know that my mom's marital status has changed and so has her residential address. Still I want to remain as her sponsor and finalize the process. I wonder if IRCC forces me then to cancel the whole deal, as they can say that my mom is then married to a Canadian and makes my case (as a son) void.
So far my mom's case is super-straightforward, never before married, always employed on one boring office position, no medical issues, no background issues. This marriage could ruin it all, could it? I mean then the guy would take over, but they would have to start from zero and all my efforts and money is thrown to waste! I mean I will call the centre as well and will present them all my findings. They are adults and can make their own decisions based on it, just want to make sure!

cic may not have issue on it as being her becoming PR by u being sponsor , since it will allow them not to give pension for next 20 years. But her being wife of Canadian citizen will get her eligible for pension at age 65. Moreover the medical requirements are less stringent for spouse PR. You guys can make a decision.
I got the second medical test request for my parents. Does anyone know how much longer it would take? They did their first medical test in June 2016. They got stuck on background check.

So I called the IRCC hotline and 55 minutes later found out all the relevant information. Sure there is no issues in marrying, especially to a Canadian Citizen, it won't delay the process or anything like that. However, if she did get married, then starting from the current year my family size of 4 (Me, my Wife, my Son and of course my Mom) in terms of LICO would go up by 2, as new members would be added. Although he was divorced 6 years ago and his son is living with his ex-wife, the boy is underage dependant, meaning Him and His son would be "tallied up" to our current "gang".
Now me and my wife could "support" 6 ppl, but it is an added stress and they confirmed that although the Guy has a decent income, it won't count towards the LICO, as He is not considered as sponsor in the current affairs.
Just hoping now that my Mom can become PR as soon as possible, like I am sure all of you folks want for your parents lol.
Q1. Hi I got an email saying that I received a new message from CIC. But I didn't receive any emails from CIC and if I log into CIC website, I can only see that I got the new message but can't actually see what's the message.
Q2. Also every time when visa office ask me to send them the document I always email back to them with the document and today I logged into CIC and check " View Submitted Document". I noticed that the police report and medical are overdue.. (I sent them the document few month ago and medical was done too.)
Am I supposed to send the visa office email and upload document to CIC as well?
