My parents application was in Ottawa office all this time, but only this week got notification its been transferred to NDVO.
and that we should hear back in 2 months time.
Does anyone have had this happen...and what happens after that?

We applied in Jan 2016 inside Canada, from Quebec. During summer Aug 2016 we got confirmation thru that they started processing the application. Followed by medical exam requirement. By end Oct 2016, they received medical exam results, and CIC then requested Police Certificate and CSQ (because we live in Quebec province) within 45days. We had to rush for the CSQ as usually the processing time is longer than that. Eventually CIC agreed to extend 60days for CSQ when we approached to the deadline. In early Feb 2017, we submitted CSQ. No response since then. From CIC online status, our progress stopped at end2016 when they received medical exam results...

Quebec files are processed differently I guess, compared to other provinces. No idea about that bud.

Hello,I received passport back on 21.02-2018 duly stamped and valid up to 05-02-2019 which is validity of medical done on 02-02-2018.I received confirmation of PR letter.Do not worry.All will get soon but time is only matter.PLEASE SEE SOME TIME LINE FOR REFERENCE
RE-MEDICAL DONE -02-02-2018
PASSPORT REQUEST-09-02-2019
PASSPORT SENT-12-02-2018
PASSPORT RECEIVED BACK-21-02-2018
BIRTHDAY-22-02-2018

see my timeline in signature column.My file first transferred to NDVO,then Ottawa and again to NDVO on December05 and with similar reply of hearing within 2 months but till date no updates.I applied in WEB Form probably on February08 but till date no reply. One probable reason for transfer I guess I requested to add my younger daughter name as Dependent who is 21 and took benefit of recent changes in definition of depedent.Till date there is no update regarding my daughter since Three months. Why your file is transferred any guess?

No I did not get any update from NDVO even after passing of more than TWO months.I think this sentence of TWO months is for formality.

okay thanks. Yes indeed..i do remember you saying this back in December.

the letter does say 2 months..so ideally it should be around that timeframe.

not sure why my parents file got transferred...maybe because they are in Delhi?

While I do not know the exact one, if your parents are in Canada, then it will be the free one otherwise it will be the paid one if they are outside Canada.
