Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hello Guys
My parents just got Passport Request..
When do they get Confirmation of Permanent Resident documents since that's required when you land in Canada.
Please advise.

They will get a set of three papers which are called landing papers along with the passports once they return them after stamping. One copy of those papers stay with us which is a proof of permanent residence till u get the pr card.

Can it be different from the place mentioned in Application..although in the same Province..
Timeline...
Applied Jan 4th 2016
Medicals completed Feb 2017 ( initially done in
October 2017 but they requested further tests, finally Completed further tests and Medical exam in Feb 2017)
Passport requested August 17th.. got an email
At around 7.45 pm...strangely after working hours ...
Overall processing completed in less than 20 months.... despite delays in medicals.. much better than expected when applied

How do we choose which Visa Office processes our application. I cannot find this field in the application.
My mom is in Canada since Jun 2015 on Visitor's Visa+Extension. We applied for PGP in Jan 2016 while she was in Canada.
How CIC decided to send her application to NDVO. Please help me understand this process. Also, can we request to get our file transferred to another VISA office? Thanks in advance.

The files I think are randomly selected and you cannot ask for file to be transferred.

Hey i had submitted my documents at ndvo in january 2017 and today i received courier from NDVO and it is my original birth certificate. What does this mean??

Nobody knows what NDVO means or plans to do ?
They are a Mystery to be solved ...

Correct me if I am wrong, I think just in this blog there should be atleast 10 applicants who have their file at NDVO & not even 1 person has got the Passport request whether they submitted all their paperwork back in June, July, Aug, Sep, Oct 2016 or any other month ?

Guys - what you think when will NDVO start calling for our Passports to stamp Immigrant Visa ?

we are not suppose to send original docs, specific to original docs
