Hello Everyone, I have a good news to share last week status of my mom's immigration file status was updated to "Decision Made". Yesterday I received an email from London office to submit passport for visa. I applied Jan 4th 2016 so it took a little over an year. Thanks much Liberals for cutting down wait times of parents immigration. Thanks everyone on this forum for helping out. Good Luck!!

I applied for my mom on Jan 4, 2016.
Sponsorship approval in Jun 2016
Received Medical and PCC request on Feb 27, 2017.
How long does it take to get visa after submitting the documents?

I received my parts PPR on Friday.

Status changed to Decision made the week before.

My timeline is on the 2016 sheet by as Mairaj.

2016 batch
File transfer to London, Medical request and PPR in October 16
Police check November 16
RCMP check request Dec 16, submitted Jan 16
Passport request March 18 2017

So seems it is roughly around 3 months after submission of documents requested like medicals and RPRF and police certificate

I had exactly same question.

To me i think there is no need to change visa office as if they request for passport at that time u can write a letter that they are here in Canada so once you send them passports they can send it back to you in Canada..

What are your timelines ? i just submitted police certificate and schedule A today and medicals were done a wk back .

Hi! If my parents move to canada on supervisa, while their parental application has already started in their original visa office, how can one go about when they ask for extra documents or rprf etc from canada? Do we need to change the visa office to Ottawa or? Any advise will be sincerely appreciated

What is the timeline and did they ask for photographs as well with passport request or you did send photographs when submitted police certificate ?

Hi everyone

My parents file has moved to New Delhi..march 10th..I am not able to link the file which is damm frustrating..anyhow when I go and check application status it says in process..not sure what's going on and I Hv to go bk in a weeks time to Canada..really wanted to make sure the time frame but no luck..

Background check has not started yet. Will let you guys know if any progress on file.

Mine is fr Hong Kong. SA IN Feb, two weeks later document required except ME.

check your form - Upper or low latters
skip passport info

same here. took months to link, but finally did. Use adults only (total of your parents sponsored and sponsors) no children

For number of person in the application , only give the number of sponsors plus parents and their dependents if any .. don't add sponsors children
