My parents have received their PPR, which is good but there is a small hiccup. Their passports were due to expire in July and they have renewed them at end of February. By the time they got new passports, they had also received the Passport Request.
Now, what options do I have?
Send it across to CIC and see what they say? or send a scanned copy and follow the due procedure?

Renewing passport is pretty normal. So, you don't have to worry much.
I would suggest to send both passports attached together. New passport on top of old one (stapled). You can write a brief explanation letter with it.
In my case, my mom renewed her passport just before she got her medical/PCC request. So, I sent a copy of the new+old passport with a cover letter along with all other requested docs back to our LVO. At the time of PPR, we only sent the new passport for visa stamping.
My ECAS status got changed to "Decision Made" under "Permanent Residence Application Status" today. MyCIC is still showing in progress under "Final Decision". But I have not received any email yet. Wondering how long will it take for the email to come.
Thank you very much for the response. Will do as you had mentioned and will let you guys know the outcome of it.
Regards
Sarat
