Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi,

I received email on Feb 10 to submit PCC for my parents from india and pay RPRF fee. I have few questions:

1. I have not got any email about file transferring to NVDO (which i was hoping). Is that mean, my file will be process in Ottawa. Just to mention that my parents landed in canada on Feb 2,2017 on Supervisa.

2. My parents stayed in Canada in 2014 for 1.5 years. Should i need to get a PCC from here too? Because its not mentioned in the letter.

3. My parents only have passport as I.D proof. Do they need 2nd proof of I.D?

The email should tell you where you need to send the PCC. If it says send to Ottawa, your file will be processed in Ottawa.Otherwise it will be in Delhi.
Just follow the document checklist provided in the email and that should be sufficient.

When I checked my CIC account today, it showed review in progress so hoping to hear from CIC soo .

I recall reading somewhere on CIC website that as long as you can provide a proof that you have provided for PCC, they will give you an extension. Just wait till the deadline and send them your appointment confirmation with a request to extend the deadline. Should work.

Got PCC today . Took us 5 days since application at PSK.

I send my parents passport two weeks before and it's still not came back.
Normally how long it will take to get the passport back from Ottawa.
My Parents LVO is New Delhi and we send passport to Ottawa

Permanent Residence Application Status just changed to "In Process" today.

So your parents are in India but you submitted your passports to Ottawa ? Could you not just submit to New Delhi ?

I am sure your passports will be back. its just a matter of time.

Hi,

My CIC showing "Review in Progress"

ECAS says "Decision Made" under Spronsership application.

I called CIC to double check if they have correct home address & email address as I did t get any confirmation email or paper mail. Rep was very helpful looking into details and confirmed that sponsorship eligibility was passed on Feb 1 2017 and a letter was prepared on Feb 10 which is not yet sent out to me..


My app is from January 5 2016 8:52 AM purolator batch. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for SA. Hopefully everyone will hear good news very soon

Oh rep also suggested to start the process of getting PCC from India and Canada done

Hi All,

Received email today to submit Passport and ECAS shows decision made. Also they asked me to submit passport to OTTAWA if the corresponding address is in Canada.

Can you give idea about what kind of additional doc were requested by NDVO on 29 Nov, I assume you sent whole bunch of doc to NDVO on 31 aug, which they requested to everbody.

There is an update on my mothers application for sponsorship.
We received an email on the applicants (mother's) email address to submit Police Verification and Medicals in 45 and 30 days respt.
