Passports have been requested for my parents today. They are in Canada currently and as per letter instruction, I can send copy of letter, passports and 2 photos to Ottawa instead to LVO.
My parents are traveling back to home country on Nov 21st. Should they wait to submit papers in home country visa office as the instruction in the letter mentioned "plan to stay in Canada for 3 months"?
Can someone please share how much time does it take to get the passport back?
At the same time, I would be worried if local visa office does not give enough time for landing which will make them travel soon. I am hoping the visa to be valid till May 21, which is the 12 month completion of their medical exam.
What happens after the passport are stamped? Should they go to border to get their landed immigrant status? I believe that can be done on the same day after visa stamped passport is received.
Pls share your experiences.
Congrats , can you please share your timeline , when was PCC/MEDICAL?RRPF requested, how long did it take after submission ? Thanks

The PCC/Medical was requested on Sept 1 and submitted by Oct 3. Passport is requested a month later on Nov 2.
I am glad that many from 2016 batch have further progressed after SA, like IME, PCC, PPR and some of them have got visa and landed already. Congratulations to those people!
I am one of many among those are still waiting for SA.
I am not sure how cic is processing the files. Their website says processing as of "2014" and now they are randomly processing 2016 cases.

I believe they will start the second batch of 5K application once they finish first one. Good luck!

Does CIC tell how to get the change the status from SuperVisa to Landed Immigrant for the applicants current residing in Canada on Supervisa and getting passport stamped from Ottawa? So far I have found people doing flagpoling for various visa situation changes.
Hi,
I applied for my parents through consultancy in 2015, but it's returned back mentioning that quota is full.
I am planning to apply PGP in 2017 myself.
Could you please suggest which courier service is best to send the PGP applications for 2017 based on 2016 PGP applications approved.
And also please suggest approach to avoid any mistakes.
Thanks in advance.

2015 PGP: http://goo.gl/S2SPwf
2016 PGP: http://goo.gl/0gD5bR
suggestion to use any local courier, i did thru 'Sprinting local couriers' - 416-848-0908/28, he did come and picked up the package from north york location and charged 80 cad to deliver it in mississauga office
never try CanadaPost, i got my application returned in 2015

All the courier companies are
SAME except Canada Post. So ya sure
DON'T send with Canada Post. To make in the cap or not is
sheer luck. That's what I can advise. Good Luck for 2017.

I think many people from second batch got SA and further progressed....
Hey Rossie and forum,
Today my parent received an email with the following:
- provide 2 photographs (photos made to the attached specification) for you and your spouse
- provide fully completed Schedule A forms (attached) for you and your spouse including your personal information from the age of 18 onwards (without gaps), i.e. box 8 and 12
They are in Russia, when they get the pictures taken, they'll be stamped in russian on the back sides(at the photographers place) do they have to translate these afterwards, if so with certified translator?
Schedule A, it'll be hard to recall everything in the last 45 years, how is this been approached by you guys?
Thanks alot
