I'm from Calgary, paid for Purolator for <9am delivery. Waiting too. They said they will have it delivered on time.. still in the line I guess.
They said their system will not update til after 10am (Ontario time) but is way passed that time. I haven't seen any Purolator deliver (non-local), so I guess we are all inline.
I have a question. Do they reach (and close) the 5,000 cap based on packaged delivered or they quickly 'pre-screen' for obvious miss-filled/non-compliant forms?
Are they able to pre-screen that fast to be able to determine if the cap was reached by the second day (like last year?)
It's first come first serve of complete applications (i.e. basic criteria met) - CIC time and date stamps the applications as they arrive. So if the cap is reached at some point before the end of today - it will be critical for an application to have arrived and been time stamped before the cut off.

Thank you for this.. So if cap reach today, then they will not accept anymore is that the case? What if 25% of that 5000 will not meet the basic criteria of CIC, will they process only 75% for this year and not consider additional 25%?
Sorry, but the link opens neither in chrome nor in IE. Please resend the spreadsheet link.
I was the one who added that extra page of charts last year. If not anything else, I must have increased Purolator's sales this year
I used CanadaPost last year. Application sent from Thunder Bay.
This year my good friend used Purolator's most strategic location in Mississauga.
Here is the status:
Jan 4, 2016 4:34 a.m. Mississauga (east/est), ON On vehicle for delivery
Anyone else with the same status ?
Just received email from VW Express that my package got delivered at 8:10 am ;D (yes, seems like they beat so far everyone).
Will wait for scanned waybill confirmation (they will send sometime today) before updating spreadsheet.

And how are they going to choose 5000 applications then?? Imagine they got 10000 applications all dated the same day and all apps are without time stamp.
This is what the purolator customer service said to me at 11.30AM ( this was for 9 AM delivery).. It's not looking good guys
"We have been advised by management recently that the driver is waiting in the line up to deliver these packages. The driver has over 700 of these packages to deliver this morning. "
