Congrats! Happy for you! Just to confirm, you did the test outside Canada? and you applied in 2022 or 2021? Just asking Because I applied in Dec 2021, and did my Test in September 2022 outside of Canada (In the U.S.). Nothing has changed since they updated the test to completed. And now I'm reading that people who did the test outside are facing significant delays. I'm planning to go back to Canada in a couple of weeks to spend sometime, not sure if that would help. I called them a couple of times, they keep saying everything looks fine and that I just need to wait.

I applied in 2022.

Yes, I took my test outside Canada. I sent an email explaining why I am taking the test outside Canada (just before the test). I am not sure if that helped or not.

Where is your processing office?

Thanks for the response. I did the test in September, my processing office is Scarborough. When asking to do it outside, I followed the instructions in the letter, which at the time only asked for a reply to the same email titled "outside Canada", and my UCI and Application number in the body of the email. I did exactly that, and the next morning they responded, that it is fine and I can just go ahead and use the same link to do the test. And that was it. A couple of days after I took the test, they updated it to "completed" on the tracker. And nothing happened since.

Keep your fingers crossed. Taking the test outside Canada is not a criterion to make your application non routine.

Hopefully, you'll see some movement soon.

Thank you! I hope so. All I can do now is wait, and once I'm back I'll just email them to confirm I'm back in the country, in case that's what the need to proceed with the application.

Vancouver folks are benign. This doesn't happen in Scarborough. 45 months and counting.
You are way beyond standard processing time. Did you contact your MP and asked what's going on with your application? I am close to the 5-month mark post-test and I'll be contacting my MP as soon as I hit 6 months.

MPs contacted. No answer.

Just contact your MP no matter what. Call email, letter, or knocking the door. 45 months is too much. If you have to publicly call them out on social media do that too. Twitter is one way of doing it.

Well said. IRCC states 4-6 months for oath ceremony after test. Therefore, you should call your MP, or another MP close to you. Some MPs are more active than others. Some ridings don't have MP atm, like my riding in Calgary. He resigned last year.

I am taking the risk to take the test outside Canada. Too may variables for family to travel back. If anyone has taken the test and it has worked out, please post in this forum for people to make their own decisions .Thanks
