Time line for Permanent Residence application for Refugees

Hello everyone, I am a May 2019 application. My medical has beef expired for over a year now and I have not done a police clearance. I received this letter last Friday.


This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Protected Person in
Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The IRCC office in Etobicoke IRCC will contact you regarding the finalization of your permanent resident application.

Does this means I was approved? What happens next?

you passed the AIP stage I don't think you get it since you got DM. You should look out for the portal email. hopefully you get it soon. you online account or online tool doesn't matter after the DM stage. it hasn't and I don't think it will be updating. mine is still saying in process and my process has been completed. so keep an eye on your emails.

I am agree with u 100% i am also on DM but not yet received after AIP.

The only thing you can know now through your GCKEY account is your medical if it's valid or not

Great have u sent more then 6 months outside your home country or country of citizenship. if yes they only ask otherwise they skip it.

You will see Medical result passed in GCKey account... can you please check there and tell me the date you passed it.

They have extended the one i did for my claim, so it says medical results received, so they probably will extend it again or ask for a new one, it’s so unnecessary since we can’t be denied because of medical so im not sure why they even ask for it for refugee pr

Not everyone gets asked for medical or resume etc. some of us just submit the application and that's it. you wouldn't be denied. if they need anything they will contact you and give you a time frame to complete it. if you don't or didn't give a suitable reason as to why it can't be done. your application is then deemed incomplete and then refused. and you just reapply.

Yes but during the pandemic, they extend it again for one more year, my friend his medical has been extended 3 times until he got his DM
