Received Letter for Biometrics of Principal applicant: 20 Dec, 2023
Dependant Received a checklist of documents to send : 20 Dec, 2023

So my question is: my husband received a checklist of documents which includes all the forms i have already submitted and Police report.

do i resubmit his documents? do he send his docs directly or i can send them too? We are selected for concurrent pilot project

Please, if one travel overseas while waiting permanent residence, it will affect the processing time? The eligibility letter have been received on Sept 2022. Still waiting

No it does not if you just wanted to go on a visit and live for some week or month it’s ok it doesn’t make any difference the only thing is when you received the first portal email you have to be here present in the country.
After September 2022 you didn’t get anything no pre arrival letter ?? And what province are you in

When you submit your application you include your spouse and children and you attached all the document but immigration always sent an email to spouse and ask the document again you can reply with it and send again the document they are asking, you can do it yourself

Yes I am only suggesting for visit only, i already visit 2 times 4 weeks each visit in 2 year time

In 95% of cases: Protected persons and convention refugees (in Canada) Waiting time 26 months and rising +30 months according to last tendency . Dependant and 48 months. Today 2024 Jan 04

There has been a very large volume of asylum claims since Roxham road reopened before it was permanently closed again. During the early days of the pandemic IRCC reduced the processing times for asylum seeker and protected people applying or PR because there were so few new applications being filed. Due to the skyrocketing amount of claims being filed in the past 2-3 years the wait period for all claimant related asylum or protected people have increased dramatically and will likely conitnue to increase. IRCC has brought in new policies to try and speed up processing like not always requiring hearings for and having many more short hearings for less complex cases. Until Canada starts going back to pre-2023 TRV processing assessments there will be even more asylum claimants, the costs to care and provide housing for asylum claimants and protected people will continue increasing and sadly many more will end up homeless. In many cases cities can’t afford to keep covering these extra housing costs because municipalities must balance their books and many were municipalities were in rough shape even if you eliminated the asylum claimant issue. We will sadly end up with more homeless asylum claimants.

Pre-arrival and eligibility passed Nov 2023

Haven't received any updates after the eligibility passed letter.
