Hi guys! Some clarification needed here.

PR app in process outside Canada under Spousal Sponsorship class. But the applicant is currently in Canada under refugee status, he basically can’t leave the country now.

The Vo sent pre-arrival service letter last month. Now they request “ proof of departure from Canada”
Do you guys know what this means and why they requested it? Plz, any advice will be appreciated.

On the portal Address and photo both are in review i linked my PR card with GCkey and they updated the status that we have mailed your card on November 9 lol now my eyes are totally on Canada post

I can only guess - do you mean when you say 'in process outside Canada' that it's an outland application?

If so, possible they believe he left the country (although not required under outland).

But I know nothing about the refugee status (or very very little) so no, don't know.

I repeat: did you apply as outland family sponsorship, or in-Canada (inland)? It is not a question of where he is, nor is it a question of where it is being processed. If you don't know what I'm referring to, check your sponsorship and application documents - it is in the imm1344 document you filed.

Change it on ecas as well you can see address update option under the address

I did that too but they didn’t update my mailing address again

Only court has some power to order IRCC in speeding up the processing and that can only happen if your application has taken maybe more than 3yrs.so with this covid situation,it might take more than even 3 yrs.just chill for now.am same as you here..I applied July 2019.still nothing until now so just chill

It is heartbreaking that so many people from 2019 are still waiting, I went to see an MP and she told me that to honest with me that the case has now is from 2019 applicants and am 2020, I just came home drink a cold . Knowing that I can't kill myself.

Applied for PR on July 2019
Applied for my 3rd WP on August 15th 2021 (2nd one is valid until Dec 13, 2021) but still not approved.
Applied for 2nd RTD on July 2021 and they just mailed to me today.
