My application reached CIO on 31.07.2013. I did not have my birth certificate so i attached a letter from embassy confirming my DOB. But now iam worried that they may not accept satements form ebassy (in the forum i saw a similar application being returned as incomplete).
So my questions are:
1. Normally how long it takes them to do completeness check and return the application
2. Do they send an email informing the application is incomplete or they just send the package with note.
3. How do they send the package back, via snail mail or courier

Why don't you send 10th marksheet now with proper explanation to CIC.
We have seen some members who have send documents at later stage and they were appended to original application by CIC.
Give it a try, there is no harm.

I did attach the Metric certificate copy with the application but its in the educational documents section. In the Birth certificate section i just attached a statement letter as follows:
As my birth was not registered with the municipality at the time of my birth, I cannot be issued a birth certificate from municipality. However as an alternative I am attaching the official confirmation letter issued by Consulate General confirming my date of birth.
In addition the same is also mentioned in other documents e.g. Passport, Metriculation Certificate (Secondary School Certificate), Police certificate e.t.c. attached with the application

1. They took aprox 2 months to review and check ur application if it is incomplete it will take considerable time to reach you... depending upon your location and postal service of your country...
2. no they don't resonded through any mean while sending apps back..
3. they send application back through canada post and then delivered to you by ur contry's postal service..
