Depends on the application, country you're applying from etc.
We're outland Ireland got transferred in May so nearly 5 months ago and haven't heard anything.

My hubby is Philippine citizen and he works in Qatar so his LVO.. did u get ur bgc already?

We're common-law, I'm a UK citizen, and we sent our application Family Class Outside Canada on Aug 15th. It was received and signed for on Aug 29th. No official AOR yet.

We received letter on Sept 18 advising of the transfer of application to London VO. Would this be considered the start of the background check?

It means they have sent the file to London VO...once you get a new line in ecas that say they have begun processing then you know they've opened it and started working on it.

It could take anywhere between a few days to 1 month before the processing line shows up on ECAS. Mine showed up after 2 weeks of ap transfer.

Just noticed that in my gckey under additional documents says no documents needed from documents uploaded. Does it mean anything or normal a month after uploading the documents? Noticed it just today

Hello, Can someone confirm if I submitted my Evidence of Communication properly. In the request letter from the London Visa Office, I was asked to send the evidence to the London office along with the request letter. But a couple of slots opened on my online account after the request was made. They were under the optional documents section and were labeled as "Explanation Letter". So, I uploaded the evidence onto them but I am not 100% sure if that is what I supposed to do. Can anyone help me with this?
