Thanks for this! Super helpful. I didn't get any passport photos back. Maybe you sent too many when you submitted? There's one attached to my COPR. I'm not bringing anything in with me so will just turn up with my COPR and passport.
Both the specification and number of photos required changed during 2016, but NOT at the same time. First the photo spec changed to the new larger format of 50 x 70, but still with 9 photos asked for. Then a couple of months later the checklist changed again and this time had the same 50 x 70 size, but reduced the number to 2!
I know all of this coz I was in the process of submitting my own papers at the time. So I suspect that if you sent 9, they probably just returned the 7 they didn't use, whereas if you sent 2, then there would be none to return.
Guess they r still on Christmas hols..
I thought i would be able to spend my first anniversary with my husband in Canada in march 2017 but looking at LVO's pace im loosing hope and sinking into depression. Oh! not to forget the pilot project fear.. i just pray it is something good for all of us

You just never know! I fully expected mine to take 10 months, but ended up taking 6 months (submitted Mississauga end of June, COPR received on Christmas eve). I wouldn't write off a March trip just yet, but equally, I wouldn't book the air fare either!
Wow! LVO decided to give you the best Christmas present ever!
Thank you for giving me hope. Stay blessed Hurlabrick!

Hi - We got another request for document through on January 6th - IMM 5409, Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union. Please add to spread sheet.
I didn't this this form was a requirement, especially considering the mounds of evidence we sent them (such as owning our residence in the UK and a property in Canada together!). But we will fill it in anyway - bit of a pain as it needs to be Notarised which in the UK means going to an actual Notary and shelling out £100! I hope this means we are getting close to approval though.....
Canuck007, are you in London? If so I can refer you to a Commissioner of Oaths (Canadian guy) near the gherkin. Super nice guy and His price was very reasonable (Nowhere near £100)!

Darn, we are in Manchester, but thank you!! We used this guy before when we had to get documents notarised for our condo purchase. Not as easy to get documents notarised in the UK as Canada, pool of people who can do it seems to be a lot less!

Actually in the UK there's a 5quid limit on notarizing documents. Call around and ask for someone to just notarize a document. We had a lawyer on Fleet Street in London do ours for £5 per copy, so cost us a grand total of £15 for our 3 documents that we had notarized. There's no way you should be spending anywhere near £100, so if your lawyer is charging that much, just call around and ask for someone to do it.
