Good idea!! My hubby has already landed (timeline under avatar) but am happy to answer any questions if I can help in any way, as we've been through it start to finish now!
Yes, we were very lucky with how fast everything went!! Sending lots of good luck for the interview, I hope it goes well and will keep my eyes peeled for an update next week!!
Hello! My hubby is a British citizen (and Canadian PR now! YAY!), I am dual Canadian/British and we currently still live in the UK, moving permanently back to Canada at Christmas.
Good luck to everyone, hopefully all your applications go quickly!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but London doesn't send AOR for some reason!! If you have something to forward to them email London..They usually email you back giving you a B-file number thats how I got mine
I am the Applicant living here in Canada with my Husband..We will have been together for 5 years at the end of September My application is currently "In Process" in London since 15th July 2010!!
You will get an AOR from Mississauga approving your sponsorship and stating that your application will be forwarded to the London visa office. It will take about 2 weeks to get there, at which time, you can use the client ID (which the AOR from Mississauga will include) along with your personal info (DOB, name, etc) to log into E-CAS and check the status of your application. London will update the information once they receive it. That's how I was able to tell that our application got to the visa office.
Don't worry! you should have a super speedy timeline. Canadian + UK national, I haven't seen anywhere that it takes more than 3-4 months maximum all together! Good luck
I'll keep you updated of how my husband's interview goes
Hello all I've completed my process last month, but can share my timeline form my tag if it helps anyone Feel free to ask anything i can try to help with!
