Once you are in process would you recommend phoning/faxing Ottawa about the medicals or is this something that Buffalo has been quite good about. Would faxing Ottawa speed up this process or would it cause any delays?
Neither my husband (applicant) nor I (sponsor) contacted either or Ottawa or Buffalo. The medicals arrived in good time. My husband got his PPR on August 26th and received COPR/Landing Visa back from Buffalo on September 4th. Overall, a pretty good timeline.
I agree with Journeyman. "Medicals received" showed up for me right away as soon as my e-CAS became active. So, no, I don't think you have to contact anyone unless it becomes an issue where Buffalo is saying they haven't received them, etc.

I would say if just follow up.
I did my medical on March 15 and CIC sent me a letter on July 7 saying they see I did my medical but they did not received yet, but no further action recuired from my side.
After reading here about the medical and contacting Ottawa, I sent them a fax last week just to make sure my medical file arrived to Buffalo. No answer yet.
I don't know what is going on guys with my case but something is not right. Something is holding up. Is it the medical or something else I don't know yet but I already went through and check everything else what I read from others case.

Ha ha, yeah, I totally hear you. I am happy but also kind of like [whiny voice] "But they applied after me" or some such thing and then I start wondering if something was wrong with my application. And part of me is wondering if everyone is going to get PPR and I will be here alone posting messages to myself!
But enough of my neuroses. CONGRATS! That is so so awesome. I came to this thread just to see if one of us got a PPR so I'm so happy to see your great news.

if i were you i would calm down, here we got no news since May 26 when aor was sent to my wife... yes it is depressing, frustrating even but all we can do is wait and hope for the best, It is getting harder every day that pass to see the inbox or mailbox void of anything coming from Buffalo.
