I wouldn't even care that much except that now I have to mail my passport to NYC and I don't have those bar code stickers... but I suppose I could just write my file number on there.. right?
I've heard a lot of horror stories about NYC... I hope that it's not going to be so bad. According to their website their processing times are about the same as Buffalo (6 months 'normal' processing time, they don't give a range), so we'll see.
I may try to contact NYC in a couple of weeks to find out more.
I think it's possible Buffalo is speeding up. My husband sent his passport to Buffalo on August 27th and got it back with his Landing Visa/COPR on September 4th! Not bad for Buffalo

That's super cool!! I hope mine is that fast!! I'm chewing my arm off waiting!! Oh well, I keep reminding myself, that there are still people from February and March that are still waiting! Good luck everybody! The long weekend is over after today. It is school time now, and B'lo better get in gear! Because I want a PPR! lol.
Hello Folks,
Sept. 04, 2010, my wife receive AOR,file number and visa office New Delhi requested to submit from items.
- Payment of Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to office in Mississauga by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid.
- Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more.
- Submission of original passport along with any old expired passports for you and your accompanying family members.
On letter it stated: Passports cannot be returned to addresses outside of India, Nepal and Bhutan.
If your current mailing address is not in India, Nepal or Bhutan please provide an address in that territory.
Since my wife mailing address is in U.S.A. and not in above stated country.
Query to thread members:
***!!!Rush!!! Please folks,What should we do? We are bit confused !***
***Had anyone had any incident like our?***
***We plan to send police clearance certificate i.e. FBI report and original passport via Fedex to visa office and
attached Fedex return envelop for passport return***
Looking froward comment from thread members and appreciate.
Following is our update.

OMG!!! I just checked my email and there was an email from Buffalo! It says they are ready for my passport!!!! OMG!! I am so excited! I had to tell someone! Tried to call my husband, but he's asleep! I could be a permanent resident by next weekend! I keep rereading the email - this seems too good to be true!
