fanatics, I haven't gotten an AOR letter but I got an email that said a file was created.. so not sure if that means I'm in process or not In any case, we're on about the same timeline and I've yet to get an AOR letter, so you aren't alone.
Lysiana, I get negatives all the time and I'm not sure why
We still have not received anything in the mail. My husband e-mailed Buffalo yesterday to find out what was going on and they replied the following:So, we still don't know anything more than "Decision Made".
I'm pretty sure this is an automated email that is sent automatically as soon as they recieve your inquiry. The actual reply should come in a few days. Or since its Friday, maybe next week.
I've checked and it doesn't say yet, but there have been people on here who get AOR in the mail and it's not on ecas. That's because ecas is for in canada applications so it isn't always updated for visa offices outside of Canada.

Actually, this e-mail was in addition to the automated response we got soon after our original e-mail was sent. We sent the e-mail yesterday around lunch, I think.
We got the other reply that I posted before early this morning.
I'm hoping the "processing team" will get a chance to look at our e-mail today.
Is it really that difficult to tell us what is actually going on?
Does anyone know how long I should except before my application gets to Buffalo? My sponsor was approved on August 17th. When should I except my AOR and when will they actually start looking at my application?
According to the timelines of how things have been going lately it will probably take a month or more to get an AOR, silverbee. They will probably not start processing your application until late September. It took me a month and a half before they started processing mine and nearly two months until I got my AOR.
But there were plenty of people previously who got through much quicker so let's hope that Buffalo speeds back up again and that is not the case for you.
Great idea. I'm convinced that CIC uses turtles to send it from Mississauga to Buffalo, considering how long it between the sponsership approval letter and the AOR :.
Hopefully, now that the summer is winding down (they may not all be on vacation anymore), you will get it sooner (ours was about 7 weeks). Good luck.
