ok just for fun we dump New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI and keep the rest as-is ;D oh and who needs the cold territories too let's drop them
I'm with you on the first bit. But we need to keep the North. They're a strategic asset and practically one of the few things we have that the US wants!

Dralon, I meant no offense. I also have a basic understanding of Canadian history, but it's very basic. I've watched a couple documentaries to familiarize myself with it somewhat, but haven't done any reading or anything like that. I think I'm going to have to brush up on my history quite a bit before I take my Citizenship test in a few years!
I'd love to visit Quebec... I hear it's very nice. I've been to France and many other countries in Europe, however, so I doubt Quebec has the European feel *exactly* right, despite the significant culture and history. That won't deter me from visiting, however. I'd like to see Quebec City and Montreal. I think the next time I'm in Toronto, I'll heat east to Ottawa, then keep going and visit!
Hey Pharoh, I've lived in Europe and traveled a lot in Western Europe. Quebec City does feel very much like a European city. In fact, people have filmed some films here that are supposed to take place in Europe. It's beautiful. Montréal is nice too, but has much more of that "big city" feel than Québec.
eCas update today... my address (which showed up a couple days ago) is now gone again. This change kicked off another tracker email, and got me all excited when I opened my email this morning. Now I'm filled with disappointment, and to top it all off, I overslept this morning. I hate Tuesdays.

Captain's log, stardate 02152011 : No change to the eCas. I'm beginning to wonder if somewhere in cyberspace some angry entity sits behind an over-sized desk consistently resetting my status to "IN PROCESS" every week.
We finally got Decision Made this morning. Now to wait for the letter/email. Since his medicals expire the first week of March, I wonder if it's possible they will grant him a slight extension on it, or if they will rush us through the rest of the process. Either way works for us!
I just got an email asking for PASSPORT for Visa Issuance. I emailed Buffalo on Sunday, that my e-cas status has changed to
DECISION MADE since December 22nd, 2010.
I finally receive an email today I'm so glad its over.
My wife is in Canada with me she will fly to Buffalo herself and get the visa stamped.
