Just to give update, husband will land this sat. He flew to buffalo last thursday to get his visa..

i mean i heard some people saying that some countries are not accept thier passports to be stamped any visa by cic {PR.SWV.TRV etc}

as happy as i am i am also very jealous. now that Buffalo seems to be just about done how bout other visa offices pick up some speed??
i emailed singapore office to get some sort of an update almost 2 weeks back now have heard nothing. no update no email no msg nothing. ill call them tomorrow or soon when i get a chance because all i need to hear is that atleast its processing? otherwise i have no clue of whats happening.

Nope no file # no PPR...frustating...and ppl who applied in 2011 are getting visa..my wife is sitting somewhere..have to wait, what else

I just emailed our visa office, because no news since a month ago when I sent the additional documents they requested. I'm so desperate for information. If still no news in a few weeks we will need to make the decision to nest here in Australia and find a bigger home/apartment to rent elsewhere, which will also mean forfeiting our visa application since I won't be able to travel in late stages of pregnancy or right after the birth (medicals expire October, baby due August/September)!

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt – the first official document that says the application for permanent residence status has been received.
PPR – Passport request – Immigration requests passport when they are ready to issue the visa.
DM - Decision made (waiting on letter to confirm)

Thanks for the chart.....I guess I might be the last one to get PR in this thread since I applied inland

I've check my status by auto system and it said CIC received my app on Nov 3 and a letter of received from the office on Dec 20, 2010, I don't know if it means AOR bcos I didn't received anything ( As many inlander mentioned:inlander won't get anything about AOR)

Anyway, it's just a lil info, if it helps

Sorry to hear you are still waiting. It is so frustrating isn't it, especially when you have such a tight timeframe. Hope you hear something this week. I doubt we will be hearing anything for a long while now. Still no letter regarding my partner getting his fingerprints done for the RCMP check and it will be two weeks on Wednesday since they called about it. One week since I sent an email to them asking if the letter had been sent out and again no response.

Oh, I am getting so tired of people constantly asking me if I have "heard anything yet" I know they are well meaning but I am trying not to think and obsess about it and everytime I get asked, it brings it back into my head again and I get depressed! I feel like getting a t-shirt that says..."NO, I haven't heard anything yet, don't ask!"
