Thanks Xyrus - so we are pretty much in the same timeline for PPR...hope it happens soon buddy!
Now, like i said before...if they wanted more docs, had doubts about relationship or schedule an interview IO would have done so when reviewing it initially...i understand this is not a guarantee for visa....but relationship/more doc and proof hurdles i guess we can not worry for!!
Also, now, they will check medicals, background, security and all that.....what do u think??
I think the worry is not completely over! they can still ask for additional docs/interview! I dont think they can review everything in a day n decide! People were asked for docs./interview even after PPR. The process followed by ND office is different as compared to some of the other offices. To be honest, after reading the letter, I think issuance of PPR letter is procedural. Don't mean to scare u but this is what I infer after going through others' experiences here.
Got a letter from CHC-ND dated July 22 for PPR today...
Question for people with PPR....is it a standard computer generated letter asking for fee/old passport/police clearance??
now, guys...WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???
They never asked me for additional documents or proof...the IO opens file and surely checks if they need anything else from me...so this is kinda good news??
Can u specify was it a normal post or a registered normal post i.e. u need to sign after receving the letter?
What are the BAR codes u guys are refferring??
Does ur status on CIC is changed or still shows IN Process??
I have a doubt that I need your guys opinion on...Im not sure if your familiar with Indian Passports...on the back page it had you FATHER/MOTHER and WIFES name.
Now, I was issued a new passport in April this year (damaged), we were married last dec.....and her name is not on it....Do u think it maybe an issue with immigration or they may notice it???

1. Its regular post! No sign required.
2. Bar Codes are stickers used for identifying applicants. They are put up on passport and other imp. docs. like police clearances, etc. for identification. These bar coded stickers have your Receipt #
3. status remains "In Process"
No worries minku9! YES! I jus checked. Even mine has 013 on the bottom left corner! Dunno what that means. Maybe a Family Class Code? Just a wild guess!
I dont think so it is problem.. i have a cousion of mine with indian passport who recently got married to an canadian guy so she is able to get the visa even without stamping..
ya but if u want this process will take just 1 day, i have added my spouse name on my passport from chandigarh passport office so they juust put a stamp name on ur visa thats it..they does not add it at the last page were we have our parents name. so if u want it can be done in a day or so..but it does not matter.
@minku.. ya it took 1 day for me to add spouse name.. they will just put a stamp on my passport ..
if u have time u can add ur spouse name.. else it will be fine.. it is not mentioned anywhere in the immgration file that spouse name is required on passport..
