Lil correction - sponsorship approved June 15 (instead of June 18) We haven't received the letter yet, must have gone "missing" but we got confirmation over the phone

So excited to see people are getting a second stage "in process"

Mine also went 'missing' and i tried a whole day to speak with someone!

I suppose its easier inside, if your outside of Canada the service is very poor

Good News!!

Interview was not waived, but we got an email just a few hours ago that it has been rescheduled for August 24.

I seriously cannot breathe....

If the interview goes well Accra will issue the visa the same day. It is possible my husband could be here by his birthday on September 10!!!

Not sure if this matters but quick correction.. You have it as my app sent on 25-03-2010.. That's when my meds were done. I sent app on 19-05-2010 and it was received on 21-03-2010 sponsor approved on 23-06-2010. Thank you for going through the effort of making the table

Yeah! Got my approval letter today too... ))))) took a freaking long time.. I was giving them until Friday before I called again..
So now I just hope the mini mistakes on the IMM 0008 wont screw everything up too much...

Jillandmat: Congrats on your sponsorship approval..I have decided to write to London when I receive my file number in hopefully a few weeks time..and tell them I think I made a mistake..I am sure a few small mistakes wont hurt too much especially if the IO can see they are mistakes, everyone makes them! I would be surprised if they get perfect applications!!

your letter is definitely on its way. To give you an idea of how long it takes for the letter to be sent just inside one province, my CSQ (a Quebec-only thing) was approved on June 29 and I didn't get it until July 3rd...and its only a 3 hour drive away!


chances are that sydney has a local ID number that they'll use as well. When my file was transferred to Buffalo it took awhile but then we got another letter with barcode stickers to attach to the outside of envelopes in case we are requested to send more information. The time difference can be seen in my signature from "in process" to "AOR received"

THanks! Yeh I know.. I mean who has $6000 + to spend on immigration lawyers.. WHAT they should do is make the forms easier to fill out.. when I applied for residency down here.. it was a one form instructions.. (a ton of things I had to do) but they had agents that looked it over and made sure it was all ok before you could submit it..

I mean I am a native canadian and I had major problems understanding what they were asking...

I'm sure if its not a major problem like you are trying to conceal that you are a criminal or something then ok -- there may be some issues but otherwise.. i doubt it.

It can be delayed depending on each offices. We have not received ours either, but what we can check is only e-cas, that's what we see so far. The advice is WAITING!. Game is begun

Hoples: It all depends on 1) which visa office its coming from 2) Which part of Canada you live in..

For Example..we live in Ontario a 30 minute drive from Mississauga where our application was submitted..My Husband was approved Tuesday 29 June, His letter is dated 30 June on the envelope..however we didn't receive the letter until Monday 5th July..1 week later..and we live in Ontario! Plus don't forget we had Canada day last Thursday! I would wait until Monday 12th July then Call CIC if you still don't have your letter!
