Ecas was updated with application in process today, and my husband got an email with a date for an interview on August 19!!!

This is Accra, people....12-18 months processing usually.

I am crying...I am sick with excitement!!!

I should have read the rest of my inbox first. He received an email 8 hours later saying:

ACCRA (IMMIGRATION) would like to recall the message, "INTERVIEW LETTER".


What do you think this means? Maybe the interview has been waived. LOL. Probably not. Guess it was just a mistake.

Anyways, at least they started processing our app on June 28

Oh no!! I guess either they made a mistake and it's waived or they made a mistake and it's later Maybe they will send more information soon? But at least they have started processing! That's still awesome! Hopefully mine will be updated soon.. mine was updated on a Thursday last time, so maybe it will be this week too!

I just checked e-cas, it says "In process" for PR, the app has been started processing on Jun 29 (it's faster than expected) -only 6 days to transfer files from CPC-M to Sydney (cross around the world) but we have not received the sponsorship approval letter yet. That's kind of weird. Does anyone have the same situation like us that there is no sponsorship approval letter received but e-cas has always been updated?

Would it be a problem if we have no "Client ID#" in case of we may contact CIC according to the app or immigrating to Canada in the future? What should we do?

e-cas always updates first since its electronic...you'll be getting a letter in the mail soon!

your letter is definitely on its way. To give you an idea of how long it takes for the letter to be sent just inside one province, my CSQ (a Quebec-only thing) was approved on June 29 and I didn't get it until July 3rd...and its only a 3 hour drive away!


chances are that sydney has a local ID number that they'll use as well. When my file was transferred to Buffalo it took awhile but then we got another letter with barcode stickers to attach to the outside of envelopes in case we are requested to send more information. The time difference can be seen in my signature from "in process" to "AOR received"

Hey guys congrats to everyone whose PR is showing as "In Process" so far! I was wondering if you are checking the status on the CIC website still? Or should I be checking on the London, England immigration website somehow now?
