I am in the same boat wondering if they sent an AOR letter and I just haven't received it.
I couldn't take it any longer so I requested a Case-Specific Inquiry yesterday and I received a response first thing this morning:
"We have received the results of the medical exams.
All fees for family class applications must be made to CPC Mississauga. Once CPC Mississauga receives the fee they will notify Buffalo.
An information letter was mailed October 21, 2010. Please provide the address we should be using. Please allow sufficient time for delivery of the letter."
Would this be the AOR letter I have been waiting for? Would they call it an "Information Letter" ? Is this good news? Well, I guess any correspondence is good news! I beat around the bush and didn't directly ask for a status update on my case. I don't think it delays anything.

Hmm... This may be the AOR or an advisory asking you for payment. Did you guys include all the payments when you sent your application to Mississauga?
Good Luck!!

Hi, no we did not include the RPRF with the application but I paid for it online a few weeks ago and sent Miss. the receipt by courier (after speaking with them on the phone) and it was received by them. I have a feeling Buffalo is just stating a fact and that they didn't actually check. My main request was whether mail had been sent to me.
My file was transferred to Detroit today..........
What does this mean? :'( I am so stressed out I could cry. I recall file transferring makes things so much longer and more difficult. I don't even know who to contact anymore.

AngelB and iLoveSnow...
I am not so sure you guys need to be concerned. From reading the other posts from people in the same situation it seems like after the files are transferred a lot of people get PPR requests in about a month's time. I guess the biggest concern is that you just want all your info transferred carefully so it all stays in one piece. I have a good feeling for both of you!
yay to jeans22 and atheer as well!
As for our case, I logged into e-cas today, I saw.... NOTHING... exactly the same and the only thing we've heard on our case so far are the crickets chirping!

ilovesnow and angelb - From what I've always read, office transfers in the states are good. I wanted one! If you look at the "Satellite Offices" thread posted a little while back, people were getting their visas about 2 weeks after the transfer. NYC is a scarier one, Detroit seemed all right. Good luck!!!
Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I'm really hopefull!

It is interesting when files get transferred because I wonder what makes them get transferred? Is it sheer volume and completely random? Or is there something about each case that makes them get transferred? Like maybe they are more straight forward? I have no idea. Would be interesting to know though.
iLoveSnow and AngelB, what does it look like when Buffalo emails you? Do they send a subject line? Do you see Buffalo in the address? I'm just curious to know what my hubby should look out for.

I've read somewhere that there was many files transferred today. So I'm guessing that at least for our applications...it was done in a group for the sole purpose of relieving some of the burden on Buffalo. The email that I received Listed my file number and name...then followed with
